Dawn Newbry, FNP-C
Dawn Newbry is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career as a CNA while attending nursing school, then spent 12 years as a bedside RN, including six years in the ICU. For the past three years, Dawn has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in both Family Practice and Urgent Care settings.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Practice Specialty from Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois.
Dawn is passionate about preventive care and patient education, striving to empower individuals to become the healthiest versions of themselves. She has a particular interest in cancer screening and early detection, believing strongly in the power of proactive healthcare.
One of the most defining moments of her career was working in a COVID ICU during the height of the pandemic. Despite the fear and uncertainty, Dawn and her colleagues became a resilient and resourceful team, adapting to constant changes and limited resources to provide the best care possible.
Her philosophy is simple but powerful: “Eat real food and go for a walk every day.” She believes that diet and exercise form the foundation of good health and encourages her patients to embrace these habits.
Originally from the Midwest, Dawn fell in love with Colorado during family ski trips and eventually made it her permanent home. She now lives here with her husband and two children. As a family, they enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and traveling. Dawn also loves cooking, reading, and staying connected with her mom and sisters.
